Welcome to our 2008 Season...
FEBRUARY 15 & 23

Our traditional Valentine mystery dinner theater. This year's production, "Reunion at Hippie High," will be a "blast from the past" 60's evening of food, fun, mayhem...and Murder!

Our thanks to Heritage Community Bank, Hartsville for their sponsorship.

MAY 2 & 3

Our Spring performance is “Star Spangled Girl,” where love and politics blend delightfully in a bubbling series of funny happenings, set forth with the masterly skill and inventiveness that are the hallmarks of Neil Simon.

SEPTEMBER 19, 20 & 21
Godspell on September 19, 20, 21.
This Fall we will present “Godspell,” in cooperation with CAREFirst Carolina Foundation.

The Community Players first performed "Godspell" in the 1980s and it was a smashing hit! The message of the play is more true today then ever. Drawing from various theatrical traditions, such as clowning, pantomime, charades, acrobatics and vaudeville, “Godspell” is a groundbreaking and unique reflection on the life of Jesus, with a message of kindness, tolerance and love.

Our Friday performance will directly benefit the Foundation's "Friends & Neighbors" Fund. Learn more about this effort from the official PRESS RELEASE. You can buy tickets here using PayPal.

DECEMBER 5 & 6
Be sure to join us as we end our season with our annual Christmas production, “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever,” the hilarious story of a woman and her husband wanting to put on the annual Christmas pageant despite having to cast the horrible Herdman kids, the meanest, nastiest, most inventively awful kids in the history of the world. This heartwarming story of effort and understanding brings home the Christmas message in a comic new way.
